Subject:- Meeting in connection with the Annual Conference in April 2023

Sir,

This is to apprise you that the Association of Retired Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts of India was established and registered on 23rd February 2001 with the Registrar of Societies Government of NCT at Delhi, under the first Presidency of former Chief Justice of India Hon’ble Justice A.M. Amedhi, for the realization of its aims and objects mentioned in the Rules of 2001, and reconfirmed in the amended Rules of 2022. The Association has been running successfully its activities, under the Patronage of the Chief Justice of India, the Union Law Minister and the Chief Justices of the High Courts of India. The Association has website:- www.arjschc.com and Whatsapp No. 8957076387 for providing complete and up-to-date information and communication to the Hon’ble Members of the Association, now numbering 650, residing all over India.  

          The executive committee of the Association held in its meeting on 7th January 2023, at Gujarat Judicial Academy, Ahemdabad, as hosted by Gujarat State Chapter, resolved to hold annual conference, annual general meeting and the meeting of the executive committee in the month of April 2023, at Indore as hosted by Madhya Pradesh State Chapter. The executive Committee also proposed to invite the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India as the Chief Guest and the Union Law Minister of India as the Guest of Honor at the conference on such topic of public interest, as may be suggested by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India. The committee further suggested that the following office bearers should seek the time for the meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India and the Union Law Minister, for their consent and for working out the modalities of the conference:

Under the Rules of the Association, notices of the AGM and invitations for the conference will have to be sent at least three weeks prior to the dates fixed for the AGM and the conference.

I therefore request you kindly to put up this letter at the earliest before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India for fixing date, time and venue for the meeting with the aforesaid office bearers for the purpose noted above and intimate us on whatsapp numbers quite in advance, so that the office bearers can obtain their reservations for their respective journeys to and fro.
